Name:
Location: Prudhoe, Northumberland, United Kingdom

After many years in accounting & corporate finance, I became head of internal & external communications in a publicly quoted financial software business operating in the UK, USA and Australia. In 2001, after 13 years there, I branched out on my own to teach music and use my commercial writing & PR skills. Today, I give hundreds of music lessons a year to pupils ranging in age from 5 to 75. When I'm not teaching or playing music, I write for companies & the media, cook Italian food, study the Italian language, work with local schools and play golf at Prudhoe Golf Club - The Home of Champions.

Dixon Cup Executive Match - 15 August
For many years now, a team of four Executives from each of the five North East Leagues have played a match against each other. Each League takes it in turn to stage the event and, this year, it was the turn of the Newcastle & District League to be the hosts. After my dismal performance at Alnmouth last year, I was lucky to be selected by Chairman Gordon McMurchie who staged the event at his home club, Ponteland. Determined not to let the side down this year, I even managed to fit in some practice. Although we didn't win this year, that honour went to the Hadrian League, at least my 35 points outscored my colleagues. So, hopefully, the League's new Chairman for 2007/8 will pick me next year!
